The M.Div. degree is designed to be a three-year, 72-credit professional program when taken full-time. At Vanderbilt Divinity School, it is also conceived as a rigorous praxis-oriented foundation for a lifetime of service, wherever your journey takes you.

    The curriculum combines:
    • A flexible foundation upon which students customize their degree program based on vocational interests and a variety of concentrations
    • For-credit immersion experiences that integrate learning and praxis through Theological Field Education.
    • A capstone course and senior project organized around a question, theme, issue, or aspect of ministry, individually designed by the student in association with a faculty member and refined through peer and faculty feedback.
The life of a student at VDS combines study, community engagement, and spiritual formation. Join other prospective students for a virtual event that will give you a preview of what you may learn at Vanderbilt Divinity School.

    You will:
    • Hear from faculty and the Dean of the Divinity School
    • Speak with current students
    • Find out what alumni are doing now with their degree
    • Learn more about VDS' highly-rated field education program
    • Listen to and reflect upon the Cole Lecture the evening of the 15th
    • Have the option to participate in a time of community worship
    Registration is required.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
