Must have bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited program
Must have at least a BA/BS in a field other than nursing.
Must have at least a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN, MS, MN).
Must have completed an MSN degree in advanced clinical nursing practice. Advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) certification is required as either a nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife, clinical nurse specialist or certified registered nurse anesthetist.
Must have completed an an MSN in health care leadership, nursing administration, or nursing informatics.*
OR
a BSN and a master’s in a non-nursing, business- or health-related field.
*Applicants with an MSN in Nursing Education must complete additional MSN level courses in Nursing and Health Care Leadership as part of the DNP program and prior to enrollment in DNP courses, which lengthens the program of studies. A gap analysis is conducted to evaluate completion of graduate level courses in Leadership, Finance and Quality Improvement.
Must have:
An MSN in Nursing and Health Care Leadership or in Nursing Administration
OR
An MSN in other advanced nursing practice specialties
OR
A BSN and a Masters in a non-nursing business- or health-related field (MBA, MPH, MHA, MMHC, etc.)
*Applicants with an MSN in Nursing Education must complete additional MSN level courses in Nursing and Health Care Leadership as part of the DNP program and prior to enrollment in DNP courses, which lengthens the program of studies. A gap analysis is conducted to evaluate completion of graduate level courses in Leadership, Finance and Quality Improvement.
Must have a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree.
Advanced practice nursing and theological study often find themselves closely aligned. Vanderbilt School of Nursing offers the MSN degree combined with a Master of Divinity(MDiv), which prepares graduates for the practice of ministry, and the Master of Theological Studies (MTS), which prepares graduates for doctoral studies in religion and certain diaconal or ordained ministerial roles.
Must have a bachelor's degree in nursing (or BSN equivalent) and a master's degree in nursing (or a related field) or a doctoral degree in nursing (or a related field).
